Merry Christmas to all

Christ the real gift of Christmas

" The gift of Christmas is Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten of the Father, the Son of God. As you follow Him, you put people first. You may spend less time in lines and more time serving others. You may spend less money on - and more time with - the people you love. You may lose yourself and you may find everything else that matters."

May this holidays bring you joy and peace and feel the love of our Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.
With Love :)

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

As every year the First Presidency of the Church is giving us a great Christmas Devotional!
It was held on Sunday, December 6th 2009

It is one of my favorite appointments of the year.

For those of you who haven't had the chance to listen to it, watch it or if you just want to bring that special Spirit, music and talks in your homes again, you can find video and audio here on lds.org.
It is also provided in many additional languages including American Sign Language.

Be joy and peace be with you all!

{RS Book CLub} Poisonwood Bible

We are now reading a new book

The Poisonwood Bible

By Barbara Kingsolver

Just as reminder you should know we don't have to buy any of the books we read at our RS Book Club Activity nights. Lois Frost is providing us with books from the library.
For this special one, it is asked that who wants a copy to read will go to pick it up at Lois Frost's home. It is too big for her to carry so many to church.

Happy reading and see you at our next activity!! :)

{RS Preparedness} Emergency Essentials

Nettie Allison has an announcement regarding emergency preparedness:

"Emergency Essentials is a business located in Utah whose website is BePrepared.com"

"I have been using their products for a couple of years and am trying to save for a year's supply of food. They have freezed dried and dehydrated foods, as well as emergency kits, MREs, cooking supplies, etc.. Look at the website. Anyone can order from them.
"Every month there is a group special at a very lowered cost to a group ordering at least 12 cans of the monthly sale item, and the shipping is free.  This month of November a #10 can of dried cheese blend is available for $16 each (regularly $22.95). The order has to be in by Nov.24th. You can order as many as you can afford, just email me what you want to order before then. You will have to pay for any order before the sale is over.
"If you never used dry products, just think--"Hamburger Helper", dried milk, dried herbs, soup and gravy mixes, bisquick, raisins, jerky, etc. There are recipes around-even on this web site, so it is possible to use.
"The order will be shipped to me, and I will either bring your can(s) to church or to your home."

You may contact Nettie Allison (818-241-3373, netned@att.net) for more information, or to place an order.  Time is running out if you want to order this month!

Our blog is still up and running

I apologize for the temporary "brake" this blog has taken, but no worries!
It is still up and running.
So please remember to come back here and get an update on our activities and more :)

Sincerely
Naomi
